The Project EVRECA! Is reaching the final stages of its activity

This Week, the consortium partners and the Volunteers deployed met in a final workshop to draw some conclusions of the intense activities that have seen committed in the past 15 months: 16 EU Aid volunteers, Civil Protection agencies of 2 Caribbean countries, CDEMA (the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency), CIMH (Caribbean Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology), 7 Voluntary Organizations, CIMA Research Foundation and the Italian Department of Civil Protection as a leading partner.

This Week, the consortium partners and the Volunteers deployed met in a final workshop to draw some conclusions of the intense activities that have seen committed in the past 15 months: 16 EU Aid volunteers, Civil Protection agencies of 2 Caribbean countries, CDEMA (the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency), CIMH (Caribbean Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology), 7 Voluntary Organizations, CIMA Research Foundation and the Italian Department of Civil Protection as a leading partner.

The workshop had as objective to outline the rules for the selection, training and deployment of expert Civil Protection volunteers under the recently enacted European instrument: “EU Aid Volunteers”.
The participants were engaged in two days of work, debates and round tables.

Recommendations, that summarize the vision of the consortium of EVRECA with regard to the use of volunteers in PC experts in third countries, have been defined.
